When there is an obstruction between the top & bottom safety ring in this case a finger. The setting machine will not cycle threw

Top & bottom safety rings need to close with out obstruction before the setting machine will cycle threw and set your fasteners. The safety rings are adjustable to accommodate thick or thin setting applications
